Terms and privacy. I agree to the PriviNet Terms of Service (v1.0) on behalf of my company, and I have read the PriviNet Privacy Policy (v1.0), which explains how PriviNet handles data. Authority and business use. I am authorized to accept these terms for the company named above and to bind it to them. We are signing up for business use only, not for personal, family, or household use. Verification-only scope. I understand Lumra is a record-integrity and verification tool. It does not prevent incidents, give legal advice, or guarantee that any record will be admitted in evidence or that any claim, defense, or lawsuit will succeed. PriviNet does stand behind this: records are signed at intake, alteration is detectable on verification, and verification runs with a standalone tool. Limit on liability. I agree that, to the maximum extent the law allows, PriviNet's total liability to my company is capped at the fees we paid in the prior 12 months, or $100 during a free pilot, and neither side is liable for indirect or consequential damages, such as lost profits. Responsibility for claims. My company is responsible for third-party claims that arise from our use of Lumra records or from the underlying incidents themselves, including when a dispute or lawsuit does not go our way. We will defend PriviNet and hold it harmless from those claims. This excludes claims caused by PriviNet's gross negligence or willful misconduct. Data and privacy. My company decides what data our systems send to Lumra. We are responsible for our own legal right to collect that data, and for any notices or consents owed to our employees, drivers, residents, or clients. PriviNet processes it only to provide the service.

Store both in your password manager now. Treat them like a bank password: anyone with the key can read your records, and we never ask for it in chat or email.

See your dashboard (30 seconds)

Open the client portal, paste your API key, and you are looking at your own coverage page. It will say "No devices connected yet", which step 2 fixes.

Send your first signed event (2 minutes)

It sends one test reading, exactly like your real systems will. Your key is already filled in. Pick your computer:

Refresh the portal afterwards: one device, one signed record. That record is already tamper-evident; try the verify button on it.

Connect your real system (same afternoon)

Point your platform's webhook at your private endpoint and sign each delivery with your webhook secret:

Samsara / Motive / Geotab / most VMS & IoT hubs: add a webhook in their admin console pointing at the URL above; sign the body with HMAC-SHA256 using your secret (header X-Signature: sha256=<hex>). Full samples: privinet.net/api.html.
What the delivery body looks like: the same JSON as your step 2 test command, plus an optional external_event_id inside payload so retries never create duplicates. Full samples at the link above.
No webhook support? Anything that can make an HTTPS call can use the events API directly (same page, first example).

Set check-in schedules (optional, recommended)

In the portal's device table, click "edit" in the Check-in column and enter how often each device should report. From then on a missed check-in shows the device as OFFLINE in red, so silence never hides.
